Describe this piece of art to me. What kind of art is it? What elements of art does this piece have within in it that we have talked about before?

Today we are working on translating our sketch of our fantasy landscape onto our larger piece of paper to begin our tempera painting. Remember we are emphasizing our foreground, middle ground, and horizon line/eye level in this piece of art. The group will also review how we use warm/cool colors and illusion of depth in our paintings.

Just as a reminder... our GLE and SPIs.

GLE: The student will learn about spatial relationships by creating a fantasy based landscape tempera painting using foreground, middle ground, and horizon line/eye level. The students will also review warm/cool colors and illusion of depth in their paintings.

SPI: 6.2 spi.4, 6.2 spi.5
