Artist of the Week:

Andy Warhol

Born as Andrew Warhola, Andy Warhol, is one of the most recognizable Pop Artists of the 1960s to the 1980s. Warhol started his career out as a fashion illustrator, mostly drawing shoes, for many famous magazines. It was not until he began to paint objects we found in the most ordinary of places, such as at grocery stores, that his work began to take off. His most well known pieces of art work include his paintings of Campbell Soup, a meal which his mother prepared for him almost every day of his life.
