Pablo Picasso - Still Life with Cherries
Warm Up:
Describe the process we have used so far to create a piece of art in the classroom.

Shading: A way of giving an image volume, mass, and to show light and dark.

The Assignment:

The student will work from a still life of junk forms, in pencil, of cubic forms as well as discuss the artist Picasso with his art work the Still Life with Cherries to help in their understanding of forms.

The Assignment:
Today's Mission:
We will begin to add shading onto our image of the junk food still life using the image provided above. It uses our form of the week, the cube, along with its cousin the sphere through out the image.
Make sure to pay close attention to the review of the demo for the medium of the week so you can understand how the image is supposed to look so you can do the same yourself.
